How old do I have to be to get a piercing done?
At our King’s Tattoo Studio Malia, safety and legality are of the utmost importance. To ensure we follow all laws and regulations, we apply specific age limits for piercing services.
Adults (18+ years)
- All adults can get any piercing they want without the need for parental consent.
Minors (under 18)
- 16-17 years old: Can do most piercings with the presence and written consent of a parent or guardian. Exceptions may exist for specific piercings that are considered more invasive.
- 14-15 years old: Can have certain piercings, such as ear and nose lobes, with the presence and written consent of a parent or guardian.
- Under 14: We typically do not offer piercings for children under 14, except for earlobes, and only with the presence and written consent of a parent or guardian.
